Abia records one more instance of Monkey-pox

One more instance of the feared Monkey-pox illness has been kept in Abia State, hence, bringing to four, the complete number of cases up to this point kept in the state as per Ministry source.

Magistrate for Health, Dr Joe Osuji, who affirmed this in a meeting with Vanguard on Tuesday, said the patient had been dealt with and the rashes clearing quickly.

The Commissioner said that the most recent case was kept in Amuzukwu Community in Umuahia North Local Government Area.

Three past cases were kept in Aba North, Umuahia South and Ikwuano LGAs as per the Commissioner.

He had last Thursday, while answering the past cases, let Vanguard know that five examples had been taken to the reference research facility in Abuja for examination.

As indicated by him, all contact cases had been dealt with and released from the clinic.

Dr Osuji, be that as it may, encouraged inhabitants not to worry but rather entrusted them on natural tidiness and individual cleanliness.

” If you see any individual with any sort of rashes around you, attempt to confine yourself from the individual. You additionally request that the individual report to the medical clinic for examination and therapy”.
