Boss Adebayo Lawal was, on Monday, night confirmed as the new Deputy Governor of Oyo State, following the reprimand of the previous, Alhaji Rauf Olaniyan, by the State House of Assembly.
The swearing service held at the Executive Chambers of the Governor’s Office, Secretariat, Agodi in Ibadan, was sequent to his affirmation by the Assembly after his designation by Governor Seyi Makinde, as trade for Olaniyan.
The state Chief Judge, Justice Munta Abimbola, directed the Oaths of Allegiance and Office on the new delegate lead representative.
Makinde, in his concise comments, encouraged his delegate to put the interest of the state first and consider his new task to be a place of trust.
As per him, the new position is a proof that Lawal succeeded in his past position.
“In any case, for our purposes, as the platitude goes that the prize of difficult work is more work, that is the reason we’re giving you more work.
“The place of representative lead representative is a place of trust, our lords are the great individuals of Oyo State.
“Thus, our obligation is to keep on serving them as well as could be expected to convey great administration to them,” he said.
Makinde coordinated Lawal to keep on overseeing the State Housing Corporation and Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency (OSROMA).
He added that the state Ministry of Justice ought to also be under his watch.
